Course Objectives

This 3 day course is aimed at first time parents or individuals who work with very young children from birth through to toddler age need to be equipped with relevant information and hands on training. The curricula covers a wide range of topics related to infant care, and incorporates the use of active learning methodologies along with the Reality Learning SA (Baby) infant simulator for demonstration and practice of techniques. This powerful approach provides a learning experience that will equip all delegates with the knowledge and skills to confidently care for young infants and toddlers.

  • Understand the pos and cons of breastfeeding vs bottle feeding
  • How to diaper an infant using disposable or cloth diapers
  • Learn how to track an infants schedule, the importance of it and what kind of information should be tracked in a childs day
  • Learn how to deal with stress
  • Understand and how to deal with emergencies
