COURSE DESCRIPTION

The person credited with this unit standard is able to handle dangerous goods during warehousing and storage. They are able to classify goods in preparation for storage and prepare these goods for safe transportation. Learners are also able to handle incidents in the event of them happening in accordance with required safety procedures and guidelines

Course Pre-Requisites

Not limited to:

Supervisors, Managers, Drivers, Security Officers, Compliance Officers, Safety Committees and Safety Representatives, all Employees who are exposed to hazardous substances

Credits were assigned to this Unit Standard based on the assumption that learners can read, write and communicate in one of the official languages at NQF Level 2, and are mathematically literate at NQF Level 2 or equivalent.
